Dr. Steven Radowitz, MD

Steven Radowitz, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Radowitz has a wealth of experience seeing the effects trauma can have on our physical health firsthand. He joined Nushama to oversee and develop treatment modalities, believing psychedelics are the future of mental wellness as current solutions treat symptoms, not underlying issues.

Dr. Radowitz also runs the primary care program at Goldman Sachs and has practiced internal medicine and primary care since 1998. Originally from Montreal, he completed his M.D. at Chicago Medical School. He worked at St. Vincent’s in general medicine and HIV/AIDS units and was Medical Director of the inpatient alcohol and opiate detox and treatment unit.

Dr. Radowitz’s focus is preventive medicine, getting to the underlying source before it manifests as “dis-ease,” a misalignment of mind, body, and spirit. He believes psychedelics are a powerful tool to discover the origin of imbalance. On a spiritual journey with Kabbalah, he also studies meditation and yoga. At Nushama, he leads one of the most experienced teams in psychedelic medicine.

Phillip Romero

Phillip Romero, MD

Senior Psychiatrist

Dr. Romero is a seasoned psychiatrist who has worked in clinical practice for over 35 years where he has integrated creativity and medicine to activate healing. He went to medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and, after completing Residency in Psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Hospital, NY, he completed a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell Medical College, where he trained young doctors for 25 years as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Romero developed Logosoma Brain Training in 1985, integrating neuroscience and mindfulness training for optimal results.

Dr. Romero is passionate about painting, photography, and film. He has been fortunate to exhibit in galleries and international exhibitions and has authored two books: Phantom Stress: Brain Training to Master Relationship Stress and The Art Imperative: The Secret Power of Art. He also writes on his own personal blog and website Logosoma Living and on ThriveGlobal.com.

Alexandra Christodoulou is a Family Nurse Practitioner possessing a broad healthcare experience that spans various outpatient clinical environments located in the vibrant heart of New York City.

She has a firm dedication to integrative healthcare and a fervent interest in advancing mental health, sleep medicine, and the proven advantages rooted in evidence-based research of psychedelic therapy. She has previously participated in research about mindfulness techniques and resilience in the context of stress.

Alexandra earned her doctorate from UMASS Amherst and is presently pursuing a postgraduate certificate in psychiatric mental health.
