- Nushama ONE -

A full course of TMS treatment. All in one day.

If you’re struggling with depression and the idea of 36 clinic visits over two months feels impossible, Nushama ONE was built for you. Using a precision brain stimulation device called Ampa One, we deliver a clinically complete TMS course in a single, carefully guided day — so you can get back to your life.

Here's how the day unfolds

This outlines our one-day protocol. For multi-day, insurance-based treatment options, please connect with our care team.

1.

Medical & Psychiatric Intake

Your provider meets with you, reviews your history, and calibrates the stimulation dose to your brain specifically.

2.

Day of Treatment:
20 sessions with the Ampa One

You will start the day with a motor-threshold mapping session. After which, you will commence your first 3 minute session. You sit comfortably while the device delivers gentle magnetic pulses to a specific region of your brain (determined with your provider). Sessions are spaced with rest breaks across an 8–10 hour day.

3.

Optional: medication to boost results

When your psychiatrist recommends it, D-cycloserine can be prescribed to help your brain absorb the treatment more deeply. This is optional, not right for everyone, and always your choice.

4.

Evening: you go home

You’ll leave with a summary of your treatment and a follow-up plan. We check in with you over the coming weeks as the benefits take hold.

What it feels like:
You'll feel a gentle tapping sensation on your scalp during sessions. You remain fully awake, alert, and yourself the entire time — no foggy feeling, no recovery period.

- Why it works

The science, simply explained

Depression often involves specific brain circuits going quiet — particularly the prefrontal cortex, which governs mood and resilience. TMS uses targeted magnetic pulses to wake those circuits back up, triggering the brain’s natural ability to rewire itself. This process is called neuroplasticity.

Why one day is enough

Research from Stanford’s SAINT protocol showed that what drives recovery isn’t how many days you spread treatment across — it’s the total dose. Twenty precision iTBS sessions deliver the same neuroplastic signal as traditional TMS, concentrated into one day.

What iTBS means

Intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) is a more efficient TMS waveform. Each 3-minute iTBS session produces the same neuroplastic effect as a 40-minute standard session — which is how we fit a full course into a single day.

The Ampa One device

Nushama ONE uses the Ampa One — a device purpose-built for accelerated single-day TMS delivery. It targets the same brain region used in standard TMS: the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, the seat of mood regulation.

How the medications help (optional)

D-cycloserine (DCS) works by enhancing NMDA receptor activity, helping strengthen learning and memory processes during treatment. This may support the brain’s ability to form and reinforce new, healthier neural pathways.

- Common questions -

What patients ask us

No. TMS produces no dissociation, no altered state, and no sedation. You’ll feel a gentle tapping on your scalp and nothing else unusual. You’ll be fully yourself the entire day. If optional medications are prescribed, Vyvanse may make you feel a bit more focused than usual — like a strong coffee.

Yes — for properly screened patients, this is exactly what the iTBS technique was designed for. Every patient receives a psychiatric evaluation and personalized dose mapping before the day begins. Serious side effects like seizure are extremely rare and are screened for in advance.

Same core technology — magnetic pulses that stimulate specific brain circuits — but delivered in a much more advanced way. Traditional TMS takes 36 visits over months. Nushama ONE compresses that course into one day using an efficient waveform called iTBS and the Ampa One device.

Some patients notice shifts in sleep, energy, or mood within one to two weeks. For others, the full benefit builds over four to six weeks as the brain continues consolidating the changes from treatment day. Your team tracks your progress throughout.

No. D-cycloserine and Vyvanse augmentation is always optional and always your choice. The protocol works on its own. If your psychiatrist believes augmentation would meaningfully improve your outcome, they’ll discuss it with you — but you’ll never be required to take anything you’re not comfortable with.

Traditional daily TMS is covered by most insurers. Accelerated single-day protocols are currently paid out-of-pocket — though coverage is growing as the evidence base expands. If insurance coverage is important to you, we also offer standard 36-session TMS and are happy to walk you through that option.

Which Treatment

Nushama isn’t a one-treatment clinic. We believe different minds need different tools — and the best outcomes often come from finding the right fit, not the most popular option.

Our treatments

No altered state

One-Day TMS

Brain stimulation · No altered state

20 precision iTBS sessions in a single day using the Ampa One device. No psychedelic experience — just targeted magnetic stimulation that rewires the brain's mood circuits.

Best for: busy schedules, ketamine-hesitant patients, those who prefer a clear-headed path

Spravato

Esketamine nasal spray

FDA-approved · In-clinic · Insurance may cover

An FDA-approved nasal spray form of ketamine administered in our clinic, with monitoring. Produces a mild dissociative experience and works rapidly on treatment-resistant depression.

Best for: those who qualify for insurance coverage, prefer a nasal route, or are already familiar with ketamine
IV Ketamine

Intravenous ketamine

Rapid-acting · Deep neuroplastic reset

Ketamine delivered intravenously for a deeper, more immersive experience. Often described as a profound mental reset. Typically delivered across a series of infusions with integration support.

Best for: those open to a psychedelic-adjacent experience, severe treatment-resistant depression, rapid relief needs

These treatments work together, not in competition.

Many Nushama patients have benefited from more than one. Ketamine or Spravato patients who’ve improved but not fully recovered often find that One-Day TMS provides the final piece. Our team will never push a particular treatment — we’ll help you understand what makes sense for where you are right now.

For those seeking an insurance-based option, we offer a standard TMS protocol delivered over multiple weeks—providing a more gradual, accessible path to treatment.
